WEEKEND TODAY INTERNSHIP
I interned at Weekend TODAY from 2020 to 2022, during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was given ample opportunity to grow as a journalist, working directly alongside producers and talent. In July 2020, I pitched a story that aired on the Saturday morning show called, “Inequality in America.” You can watch the segment below.

“Inequality in America,” put a spotlight on the inequality black female police officers feel in law enforcement. The story showed the unique perspective of black female police officers on the job. They're the unheard voice in America, until now.
